PPS-GF is glass-fibre-reinforced polyphenylene sulfide, a semicrystalline polymer that a maker sells for automotive, aerospace, chemical-industry and electrical parts. Its HDT at 0.45 MPa is 236 °C, a figure measured after annealing. On the H2C its sheets ask for a hardened nozzle and for drying the filament before it prints.
Thinly documented Three products, with values from two makers' documents: IPCON's, and Polymaker's, which QIDI PPS-GF20 shares. Read each figure as one or two sheets' word.

Among the materials
Against PPS-CF, PPS-GF is 43 % less stiff, 35 % less expensive and 26 % weaker flat. Against PA6-CF, PPS-GF is 52 % weaker across the layers and 46 % less tough in notched impact, and its HDT at 0.45 MPa is 43 °C higher. Among the materials, PPS-GF has a high tensile modulus (XY), tensile strength (XY), HDT at 0.45 MPa and density, and a low elongation at break (XY): each is in the top or bottom quarter of the materials that publish it. The rest of its key properties sit in the middle half.
Against its alternatives, PPS-GF has the lowest tensile strength and tensile strength (Z)
How does it compare with what an engineer would buy instead?
- PPS-GF: its products' median and middle half
- an alternative
- lowest to highest
- each material's median (top row)
- beyond the scale
Each row is a material, each column a property: the bar is the middle half of a material's products, the tick their median, the hairline their lowest to highest; the ticks above the rows are every material's median.
