Raise3D, Raise3D Hyper Core ABS CF15 Technical Data Sheetp. 2 - Benefits
Carbon fiber-reinforced material with balanced properties and wide range of uses
Raise3D, Hyper Core ABS CF15p. 1 - Good for
Fiber-reinforced composite filaments are the ideal material for end-use parts production and heavy-duty applications that require superior strength, stiff and heat resistance.
Raise3D, Hyper Core ABS CF15p. 1 - Pitfalls and limitations
However, printing fiber-reinforced filament at high speed brings many challenges, such as lower flowability and poorer interlayer bonding quality, as well as the quicker wearing-out of the nozzle.
Raise3D, Hyper Core ABS CF15p. 1 - Benefits
To overcome these challenges, Raise3D’s Hyper Core ABS CF15 filament is specially developed utilizing special extrusion technology to form a fiber-rich inner core where most of the carbon fibers are well-aligned and distributed.
Raise3D, Hyper Core ABS CF15p. 1 - Benefits
During high-speed FFF printing, the outstanding heat conductivity of carbon-fiber core accelerates filament melting in the hot end.
Raise3D, Hyper Core ABS CF15p. 1 - Adhesion between layers
Moreover, the residual thermal energy of the fiber-rich inner core promotes the interlayer bonding of ABS across the adjacent lines to form a smooth and strong part.
Raise3D, Hyper Core ABS CF15p. 1 - Benefits
The Hyper Core ABS CF15 filament is designed for a fast-melting rate as well as balancing print quality, performance and cost.
Raise3D, Hyper Core ABS CF15p. 1 - Benefits
Hyper Core ABS CF15 inherits excellent impact toughness, good chemical resistance and low moisture absorption of terpolymer ABS matrix.
Raise3D, Hyper Core ABS CF15p. 1 - Adhesion between layers
Moreover, special fiber distribution improves the Z-direction strength and stiffness, in addition to the prolonging the life of the nozzle.

What the maker says (14)
- Good for
DuraPro ABS CF is a carbon fiber-reinforced high-performance ABS filament designed for technical applications where maximum stiffness, dimensional stability, and heat resistance are required.
Extrudr, TECHNICAL DATA SHEET DURAPRO ABS CFp. 1 - Good for
Thanks to its low warping tendency, DuraPro ABS CF is ideal for functional parts, prototypes, and use in mechanical engineering.
Extrudr, TECHNICAL DATA SHEET DURAPRO ABS CFp. 1 - Benefits
High stiffness and mechanical strength due to carbon fiber reinforcement
Extrudr, TECHNICAL DATA SHEET DURAPRO ABS CFp. 1 - Benefits
The addition of carbon fibers significantly increases the material’s mechanical strength and improves its thermal performance compared to standard ABS.
Extrudr, TECHNICAL DATA SHEET DURAPRO ABS CFp. 1 - Warping and shrinkage
Shrinking ASTM D955 % 0,3
Extrudr, TECHNICAL DATA SHEET DURAPRO ABS CFp. 1 - Warping and shrinkage
Excellent dimensional stability and low warping
Extrudr, TECHNICAL DATA SHEET DURAPRO ABS CFp. 1 - Surface finish
Despite the reinforcement, the filament is easy to print and delivers precise, matte surface finishes with a professional, technical look and feel.
Extrudr, TECHNICAL DATA SHEET DURAPRO ABS CFp. 1 - Surface finish
Matte, high-quality surface with a technical finish
Extrudr, TECHNICAL DATA SHEET DURAPRO ABS CFp. 1 - Nozzle wear
Note: Due to the abrasive nature of the carbon fibers, a hardened nozzle (e.g., hardened steel or ruby nozzle) is strongly recommended.
Extrudr, TECHNICAL DATA SHEET DURAPRO ABS CFp. 1 - Nozzle wear
Hardened Nozzle yes
Extrudr, TECHNICAL DATA SHEET DURAPRO ABS CFp. 1 - Printing advice
Additionally, a nozzle diameter of at least 0.6 mm should be used to prevent clogging and ensure smooth extrusion.
Extrudr, TECHNICAL DATA SHEET DURAPRO ABS CFp. 1 - Benefits
DuraPro ABS CF offers greater stiffness and improved heat resistance than standard ABS, thanks to carbon fiber reinforcement, while also being genuinely lighter in weight. As with all carbon-fiber-reinforced materials, this added rigidity comes with reduced elongation at break compared to standard ABS, making it best suited to applications where stiffness matters more than flexibility.
Extrudr, DURAPRO ABS CF official maker product pagep.1: Exact product FAQ/highlight, source text line98 - Pitfalls and limitations
DuraPro ABS CF is not recommended for long-term or permanent outdoor use. Like standard ABS, it is prone to UV degradation, which can cause yellowing, brittleness, and reduced mechanical performance over time. For outdoor applications, consider DuraPro ASA.
Extrudr, DURAPRO ABS CF official maker product pagep.1: Exact product FAQ/highlight, source text line100 - Pitfalls and limitations
No. Carbon fiber reinforced filaments, including DuraPro ABS CF, are not certified for food contact.

What the maker says (9)
- Good for
With its increased stiffness (Young Modulus 3200 MPa compared to 1800 MPa for Nanovia ABS EF ), Nanovia ABS CF is ideal for tooling and functional 3D prints.
Nanovia, Nanovia ABS CF : Carbon fiber reinforced : Nanoviap. 1 - Benefits
Nanovia ABS CF is compatible with most commercially available 3D printers equipped with a heated bed.
Nanovia, Nanovia ABS CF : Carbon fiber reinforced : Nanoviap. 1 - Benefits
Increased mechanical & thermal resistance compared to native ABS
Nanovia, Nanovia ABS CF : Carbon fiber reinforced : Nanoviap. 1 - Pitfalls and limitations
For an outdoor usage, we recommend that you paint your print or submit them to an anti UV treatment, such as our Nanovia smoothing solution.
Nanovia, Nanovia ABS CF : Carbon fiber reinforced : Nanoviap. 1 - Pitfalls and limitations
ABS is sensitive to UV radiation.
Nanovia, Nanovia ABS CF : Carbon fiber reinforced : Nanoviap. 1 - Warping and shrinkage
By combining acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) and carbon fibres, Nanovia ABS CF allows for increased mechanical properties when compared to native ABS , and easier printing thanks to reduced warping.
Nanovia, Nanovia ABS CF : Carbon fiber reinforced : Nanoviap. 1 - Warping and shrinkage
Low warping
Nanovia, Nanovia ABS CF : Carbon fiber reinforced : Nanoviap. 1 - Nozzle wear
A reinforced nozzle, suitable for abrasive materials is recommended.
Nanovia, Nanovia ABS CF : Carbon fiber reinforced : Nanoviap. 1 - Odour and emissions
Whilst printing ABS produces a VOC derivative of styrene.
